| Project ISIS - Thursday, April 30, 2009Pretty soon the very first ISIS powered Defender 90 will be completed. Nick is one of the very first in the world to have taken delivery of the new 3-Cell Starter Kit and RF Control Module and the first to install it on a Defender 90. There are a ton of pictures to follow, along with all of the customizations that he made and reasons why he purchased it. More information about ISIS Power Products can be found here: http://www.isispower.com

| Back again - Friday, April 24, 2009Ok, so I know I have been gone for awhile and we have updated much, but I am back. I promise, XRO will make it big someday, but it is a part time gig for now. Anyway, here is what I have going on right now. I want to get some videos on our page. If you have a video of you doing anything cool with your rover, well send it in and we will post it on our site.
The address is xro@xtremeroveroutfitters.com
If we get at least 20 videos in a month, Eric and I will go through them and we will pick the best one and send them an XRO T-Shirt. I will get more details posted soon.
Here is what we are looking for:
- Cool wheeling videos
- Any videos that will help demonstrate a wheeling technique
- Howto videos for working on Rovers
That will be the start anyhow.
Hope we get some good videos.

| We now have Custom Billet Shift Knobs - Friday, August 22, 2008Our first batch of custom cut Billet Aluminum Shift Knobs are in, but we are having to tweek the order a bit. They can be had with our without the XtremeRoverOutfitters laser engraving anodized in Black, Red, or Blue. The shift pattern seen here is for an R380 transmission, but we can make them for the LT77 as well. Check out the pictures and let us know what you think! Once we get a few more things in order we'll be launching the store, so keep checking back!

| Website Outage - Monday, July 21, 2008Sorry everyone, the site was down for a few days. We had some DNS issues and I was out for most of the weekend. We are back up and I think that we have a more reliable DNS situation now. I guess you need some bad things to happen sometimes to motivate progress.
On a good note, the trails and clubs page has been coming along well. It is functional now, but there are still a lot of improvements to be made. We need to start adding some clubs and trails to the database now. If your favorite trail isn't on here, let us know and we will get it added. We hope to have xtremeroveroutfitters.com e-mail addresses available soon as well.
Thank you for checking out the site and remember, we welcome any comments. |
| New Server - Wednesday, July 02, 2008We moved to a new home. Eric has done a lot of work setting up a reliable server setup for XRO. The Trails and Parks are finally working..kind of.... There are a couple of trails on there and the search portion is working, but the pictures aren't working as of yet. We also plan on adding a link to the listing so you can see a better description of the trail, some more pictures, and ratings. Hopefully we'll have a nice map overlay some time in the near future. We have some good ideas of how we want to do it. |
| New Partner - Wednesday, July 02, 2008We have partnered up with Diego's Deals. We know, we know, why would a Rover site ever partner with a Jeep guy. Well, he has a great classifieds site and we are all 4x4 junkies, so we still like him. Oh and we are buddies too. If you head over to his site, make sure to asking about getting schooled by a couple of Rover geeks.
We have created a section for Diego's Deals on our classifieds page or you can use this link:

| Welcome to the new XRO!!! - Tuesday, May 20, 2008As you can see, the site is under heavy contruction, but we are working hard at making this a true resource for the Rover community. XRO is the result of a couple of Rover nuts that needed better stuff and better information, so we decided to put a site together. We will post information about 4x4 clubs, trails, and some various other stuff. Enjoy the site and let us know what you think. |
